Hi, girls!

Can you care for the skin while doing yoga or weight-lifting? Of course, you can! If you’re a voracious sportswoman or plan on losing a few unwanted pounds, check how exercising affects your skin. Learn how to take care of the skin before and after working out.

Sports & Skin

I think I don’t need to explain sports body benefits. We all know that exercising improves blood flow, lifts your mood, let alone slimming effects. How does sport affect the skin condition? Some disciplines can cause problems e.g. redness, red spider veins, scrapes, dryness, acne (physical activity causes hormone imbalance) and even fractures (no worries… just in extreme sports).

Exercise & enhance the skin at the same time

If you’ve noticed blemishes on your skin during doing sports, there are two things you can do: change the activity or go for beauty treatments. I’m sure most of you will choose the other solution. After all, it’s possible to do a favourite sport and enjoy beautiful skin. Ideal treatments for sportswomen include closing blood vessels, moisturising masks and relaxing massages. If you mix a professional treatment with the right home methods, the effects will be astonishing.

Sportswomen Skincare Rules

The way you care for the skin depends on the place where you exercise. Before working out, take make -up off and use an antioxidant-rich product. In this way, you’ll protect the skin against impurities e.g. at the gym. If you exercise in the open air, apply a sunblock. In winter, go for nutrient-rich, intensively hydrating creams. Skincare after finishing exercising matters, too: you must remove sweat and sebum. Apply suitable soothing cream and put on make-up for covering redness.

Make-up & exercising?

Believe me, it’s not a good mix. Make-up will run down your face after a few minutes. To make things worse, make-up products, sweat and sebum clog skin pores and keep the skin from breathing. Result? Irritation, acne breakouts, blackheads. You might feel like your skin is heavy and covered with an unpleasant slime.
