DIY Lash Extensions from Nanolash – which option did I choose?
Let me start with a little explanation. While visiting the Nanolash website, you will notice there are different versions of the same product to choose from. You can choose from:
- a single pack of lash clusters – it consists of 36 ready-to-apply clusters in 3 lengths: 10, 12, and 14 mm. You should also know there are as many as 8 styles to choose from;
- eyelash extension kit – this is a full set, which, in addition to the ready-made cluster lashes, also contains a remover, a bonder, a sealer, and special tweezers.
At this point, I have to admit that the huge variety of available options is one of the biggest advantages of the product. You can use a single case of cluster lashes to create a DIY Russian Volume effect but also a delicate lash look for everyday wear.
Applying Nanolash cluster lashes at home – was it successful?
I will now move on to the most important point of the review, i.e. applying the cluster lashes by yourself. Let me just remind you what the Nanolash brand ensures:
- the application of DIY Lash Extensions is supposed to take about 10 minutes;
- no prior experience is needed to use them;
- the application is supposed to be simple and fun.
I can frankly admit that I have never tried applying lash extensions on my own at home. Even applying regular strip lashes took me more time than 10 minutes. So I got down to the application right away!
I removed my makeup properly and then applied a thin layer of the bonder. I selected the lash clusters I wanted to use, as the bonder takes about 30-60 seconds to become tacky. Next, using the tweezers, I applied the clusters underneath my lashes, about 1 mm away from the lash line, fuzed the lashes together, and finally applied some sealer over the finished look. It is supposed to remove the sticky layer the bonder leaves.
I used 4 clusters per application. I choose style Flirty. The whole process took me less than 10 minutes. So I can confirm the manufacturer’s claims.
Did my DIY Lash Extensions last for 5 days?
Let me remind you that the manufacturer ensures that the effects of a single application can last up to 5 days. I tested it!
I applied my cluster lashes on Tuesday. The following Tuesday…. they were still in place! I decided to wear them one more day and continued without noticing drastic changes in the appearance of my lashes. At the same time, I tried to take proper care of my lash extensions:
- I slept on my back – I didn’t want to expose the lashes to any mechanical damage.
- I brushed through my eyelashes – to remove dust and other impurities from them;
- I removed my makeup gently- of course, with cosmetics that do not contain any oils.
In my opinion, these simple steps ensured the effects of my application lasted as long as 8 days.
I removed the clusters by myself, using the remover. They did not damage my eyelashes at all. However, I wanted to see if I could reuse them. This is because the manufacturer indicated that they are designed for a single use.
After removing the glue from the thin strip, I didn’t notice any deformations in the clusters. The next day I applied them again, and the effects were the same.

DIY Eyelash Extensions are a premium product. It doesn’t take more than 10 minutes to apply these cluster lashes, and their durability cannot be faulted either.
